Youth Camps

Lake Forest Ranch Youth Camps

For Children Ages 12-18

LFR is not a conference like “Student Life” and “Centrifuge”, but rather it is truly a summer camp experience for church youth groups. While conferences may focus on large group energy, the focus at LFR is the one-on-one evangelism, mentoring and discipleship of young people led by godly college age staff members. Each student receives a Lake Forest Ranch camp journal, which will contain Quiet Time guides, Bible Study curriculum, a message notes section and other “gotta’-have-it” information for an unforgettable week of Christian growth at summer camp.

Director, Rich Malone compares LFR to a week-long “Disciple Now” only a lot more fun. There is so much that your students get to do. Special recreation opportunities for this age group include high energy team competition events each morning, a fantastic paint ball course with all
of the necessary paintball equipment. We provide horseback riding, ropes course, water tubing behind a ski boat, tournaments, swimming, fishing, boating, and much more. There is a fabulous big screen tv for movies, game room, arcade and gym if the weather keeps us inside.

The fun is unbeatable! One of the best activities will be getting to just hang around with the awesome staff members at Lake Forest and to do fun things with old friends and the new ones that your students meet here!

Theme Night

Theme night takes place one night during supper and campers are encouraged to dress in their favorite themed outfit.  This will be an opportunity for campers to have fun and show their creativity! This year's theme night--"Family Feud Game Night"!

Camp Speakers

Steve MillerSteve Miller teaches the message of “Christ in you the hope of glory” in a powerful way. He often draws from the Old Testament accounts of men like Noah, Jonah, Daniel, Abraham, and David to bring home the richness of the Christ life that was shadowed beautifully in the lives of those important men of the faith. Steve has a depth, humility and passion for Christ that radiates through his anointed teaching.

Joe Shelton calls himself, “a semi-retired hippie.” He is one of the most fascinating brothers in Christ that you will ever meet. He is a pastor, song writer, collector of native American artifacts, and a gifted teacher of the amazing grace of God that is in Jesus Christ. Joe was saved in the 60’s after travelling in the music world with such notables as Percy Sledge, The Drifters, and The Shirelles. His testimony song, “Skid Row Man,” tells of Jesus’ rescue of him from the streets of New Orleans into new life in Christ.

Bill Reif has been a part of the LFR experience longer than any of our speakers. His messages communicate the power of grace-filled relationships with a depth that comes from his many years of pursuing Christ and teaching teenagers the good news of hope in Him. Bill has been one of the visionaries behind Mission Camp Macon and has been the head coach for all of its existence. His messages relate to students right where they are in a relaxed, relevant, and inspiring way.
