Junior Camps (For Children Ages 7-11)

Junior Camp Theme Night | Camp Speakers

The activities for this age group are numerous. Children can chose from a wide variety of activity classes like swimming, tennis, crafts, fishing, riflery, archery, basketball, and several other. The afternoon is loaded with fun LFR recreation options like horseback riding, tubing, challenge course, giant swing, rock climbing wall, zip-line, frisbee golf, game room with ping-pong, air hockey, rock climbing room, and arcade games, and of course hanging out with friends.

The Pow Wows feature some of the country's most creative and effective presenters of God's truth (see speaker listing below). There will be time alone with God, Bible study, singing, and much more to build the faith of kids in an environment of non-stop fun.

Junior Camp Theme Night

This year's Theme Night for each Junior Camp will be "World Showcase ". Theme Night takes place one night during supper, and campers are encouraged to dress in clothing that children from other countries might wear. Summer 2010 we would like to showcase Jesus loves all the children of the world.Theme night is done in conjunction with the Camper Variety show where campers may showcase their talents.

Jesse Joyner, aka "Jesse the Juggler" will be with us at LFR for the first time summer 2010. Jesse is a master juggler and a captivating storyteller. Having experience as a children's pastor, he's adept at teaching the Gospel in levels of understanding that are fun and memorable, albeit unusual. Jesse's routines are engaging and often rely on audience participation and find relevant, meaningful ways for children (and adults) to learn about God's kingdom and plan.

Scott Humston , a favorite at LFR since 1999, presents God's Word in a package that wonderfully captures the interests of children. He has performed at The White House and inspires thousands of people each year. He has received professional and community awards for his encouragement to young people.

Steve Winger, The Juggler for Jesus, makes the message of the Gospel come alive with his world class combination of juggling, comedy and challenging Biblical teaching.
