“I didn’t know how much LFR was going to impact my life” — Bill Dawkins

A Moment at LFR That Deeply Impacted Your Faith

It’s not a specific moment, but my time on staff as a whole deeply impacted my faith. Being on staff showed me what biblical community looked like, and has shaped the way I connect and build community in my daily walk with Christ today.

A Mentor Who Made an Impact

Adam Walker – he didn’t just treat me as a friend, he treated me as a brother. He showed me he cared about who I was and who I was becoming.
Thomas Webb – he showed me what it means to be vulnerable, and how to share more than just surface level burdens.

More of your story

I didn’t know how much LFR was going to impact my life just from the first bus ride from Macon to attend Sports Camp at Mission Camp. That summer led to several more summers of being a camper, and eventually a summer staff member. As I look back from my time as a camper and staff, I can see how clearly the Lord guided me to where I am today. LFR’s mission statement of “building relationships for eternal impact” is still relevant in my life. The friendships I made, along with the growth that I experienced, have had a large impact on my faith journey.
